Bruce grew up in a family of builders in the foothills of Northern Colorado and earned his Bachelor’s Degree in sculpture from Colorado State University in 1986.
He has won numerous sculpting awards, including grants from the Colorado Council on the Arts and the National Endowment for the Arts.
Bruce has also been designing and manufacturing custom furniture and commercial art his entire career. Most notably, he has crafted the relief sculpture and chairs for Chipotle Mexican Grill since the beginning, more than 25 years ago.
Always eager to learn, he is very excited to be playing with new tools related to 3D modeling, scanning and printing as well as CNC cutting with lasers and waterjet.
“I like to use traditional techniques of mold making, casting and welding to create pieces using unusual materials and textures. I love classical and ancient sculpture, especially when it is broken randomly, and then reassembled by archaeologists.”
